Great Blue Heron found in Lowell/Billerica Massachusetts area, with a
slight foot or leg injury after the New England, USA blizzard of 2/14/2007.

The majority of these large birds migrate South in the fall,
but an occasional few stay in the North during the winter;
such lingering birds often fall victim to severe weather.
