Warning Sign? in rural North Carolina, USA

Photo taken on 2006. In 2007 visited the area and stopped in to ask what the initials stood for.
Was informed they stand for "Positively Mike Sherman", the proprietor; or as the help sometimes
refers to them as meaning, "Putting up with Mike's Shit". I can only believe them, knowing nothing
more. (But walking across the parking lot, laughter was heard leaking out the door.) You can decide.
Drove by in 2008 and this sign was still there but another sign indicated the business was for sale.
