For those of you who do not live in areas that grow citrus fruit... oranges are not always orange. Commercial oranges sometimes have their outer skin dyed before they go to market. However their unappealing color does not affect the sweetness of the fruit.

My parents have an orange tree on their property.
The juice from their oranges is some of the best I have ever tasted.

Very interesting! I'm pretty sure they are all orange in Australia when ripe.

oh yeah! i grew up with an orange and grapefruit tree in my yard. florida oranges make the best OJ hands down. my parents were sending me a big box every winter (orange season) but stopped because of the whole B.S. canker craze (the brown stuff you see on these oranges). glad to see the canker nazis didn't get your parent's tree and you can still enjoy it!
