I worked for Wally at the La Mesa store. I saw him and others crying when the Challenger exploded. He was a tough and sweet man.

@Roy from Colleen. Thanks for this copy of the Gemco Courier. Still looking for San Diego area employees. I opened Oceanside in the warehouse. transfered to Balboa store and opened el cajon. I worked most departments at one time or another, but spent the last 5 yrs in the warehouse. I loved working for Gemco. Does anyone know what happened to Wally Hammond, I've heard he died and that he is alive and well.
