The ‘Marble Church’, St Margaret’s was erected by Lady Willoughby de Broke in memory of her husband. She laid the foundation stone on the 24th July 1856 and it took over four years and £60,000 to complete. With pillars made of single shafts of Belgian Red marble and the nave entrance pillars constructed of regional Anglesey marble.
There are 116 soldiers graves from The First World War, 83 Canadian and 33 British.
