A life cut short. My brother past away July 16 2014 and as I look at the pictures old and new, they make me smile. I even took pictures of pictures to put them in this album. If you have any pictures of him, please send them to me so I can add them. He is missed.
This has taken me a long while to do, but today I put some of my brother's ashes to rest under this beautiful rose bush at our Florida home.
With Love in my heart here are my final memories of Carlos; he was a loving older brother. He was only ten years older than me, but at times I think he felt a lot older than that. My brother was very protective of he's four sisters. At times I know he wished he could have been more involved in our lives and those of our children. When I was younger I remember that this bothered me a great deal, but now that I look back I know that he loved me and wanted what was best for me. He was always a phone call away to talk about life and any problems that came up.
Carlos was a character. He always had a smile on his face and always seemed to have a new joke to tell. His easy-going nature made him a delight to be around. Like our father, he had a lot of friends and was always the life of the party. One of the things that I respected the most about my brother was that even though he live was not an easy one, he always remained a very religious person. Some of my brother’s favorite things besides family and friends were reading and music. Oh and the Washington Redskins..
We said goodbye to his body in Peru; but he rests by our parents in Virginia, and in my yard to protect me.
Rest in Peace my brother Carlos.
