Lut desert with the area about 80,000 km2, is located at south east of Iran and looks like a nonsymmetrical hole surrounded by sandy mountains. Lut desert is divided to three main regions;
Northern Lut is a wide field of sand. It is the highest part of Lut desert.
Southern Lut is the place in which most of the plants are growing.
Central Lut is the widest and also lowest part of Lut desert. Somebody's believed that the hottest and driest area of the world is located in central Lut. There is no plant and no life even bacteria.
In an area about 145 x 80 km wide in west of Lut desert, there are short and tall constructions that look like walls of an imaginary old city. They have made Lut city the imaginary cloddy city. These clay and sand constructions are called "Kalouts", made of rain and wind cooperation. When you walk among Kalouts, you feel such an incomparable silence and peace. You will imagine that you have started the farthest journey of your life. So let have a journey to Lut.
