We adopted Allie in Mar. 01, when she was 9 mos.old. Howard knew I'd pick her. She was shy & mellow & I loved her gentle spirit. |
On the day we could pick her up, I came home from work to find Howard asleep, with Allie stretched out alongside the bed. |
She was only 9 months old, but very mature, and didn't need the crate for more than a couple weeks. |
Later that year we took her to North Carolina with us. |
In 2002, Allie started driving my car. |
Thanks Mom and Dad! Great Christmas present! |
Our little hussy! (Nov. 2004) |
She loved it when I bought plants, and couldn't wait to play with the pots. |
Allie with her sock monkey. (2005) When Joey came, sock monkey met its demise. |
We took Allie to see the cherry blossoms around the Tidal Basin |
Allie in the lilies - 2004 (Cat lovers take note: Lilies are poisonous to cats.) |
She was seldom bad, but once in a while she tested our patience! (2007) She also tested Susan C's patience (howl, howl, howl!) |
2005. At some point I started calling her "Ms B" (for beautiful) - and she WAS! |
She sometimes played soccer in the living room. |
In Sept. 2005 Allison got a little brother (Joey) |
She was so patient with Joey, who always wanted to be next to her. |
There were a lot of animals in the house! |
In March 2006 she got her driver's license |
Cathy and other people at the Mint loved this picture. 2006 |
The Allie/Howard bond was really strong. (2007) |
Sleepy girl. |
Being part husky, she was always looking to escape. (2008) |
When she got older, she became afraid of thunder, and hid under tables until Howard could let her in his office. |
Joey absolutely adored his beautiful, older sister Allie. (April 2010) |
Allie loved the snow! (Dec. 2009) |
One night we came home to find Allie (and Joey) playing poker. I guess Howard taught her that, because I sure didn't! |
Dashing through the snow in the big blizzard of 2010 |
I never tired of photographing beautiful Allie. SHE never tired of asking me for walks. |
2010 - We took Allie to Staunton with us for Howard's AMA alumni reunion. |
Waiting patiently to come in. (She never barked, and seldom howled, except when Susan C and water were involved!) |
Best buds enjoying a beautiful spring day (Apr.2010) |
RIP Allison - I will miss our daily walks together. I know how very, very much you loved them! |
