Ichneumon Wasp

Acrotaphus wiltii

Found this wasp on my back door tonight. This species parasitizes a single species of orb-weaving spider. The female stings the spider briefly paralyzing it then she places an egg on the spider. The larva feeds as an external parasite after it hatches.
