All images within this gallery were take with a D200 and any of the following lens: Nikon 500mm f/4g ED-IF AF-S VRII, Nikon 400mm f/2.8d ED-IF AF-I, Nikon 300mm f/4d ED-IF AF-S, Nikon 80-200mm f/2.8d ED-IF AF, Nikon 24-120mm Non-VR, Nikon 12-24mm f/4 and a Micro Nikkor 105mm f/2.8d.
As a personal preference, all shots of animals were taken in a wild environment. All new images are placed at the TOP of the gallery. This is a collection of photographs that depict the flora, fauna and culture of South Louisiana.
I hope you will enjoy your visit to a very special place and please return as images are normally added daily.

Hello Ronnie,

A couple of days ago I red your name on a Dutch bird forum. Looking at your pictures I thought: living in Louisiana must be great, your pictures are absolutely stunning. Later that day I heard that another terrible hurricane was on it's way to Louisiana. Just saw the news and I cross my fingers that nobody got hurt and that all houses and belongings are ok.
