Birds of a Different Feather

All images in this gallery taken with a Nikon D100 or D200 DSLR camera and a Nikon 300mm f/4d ED-IF AF-S lens or a Nikon 400mm f/2.8d ED-IF AF-I lens.
Some images taken with the addition of a Kenko 1.4x Teleconverter or a Nikon TC14EII, TC17EII and TC20EII Teleconveter.
All images taken in the birds natural environment, no captives birds are shown here.

Terrific gallery Ronnie. Super images, both in photographic quality and unique subject poses. Great to see you get these quality shots with the 300mm f/4d + Teleconverters. I just bought this lens and am anxious to try it out.

Beautiful gallery, Ronnie. I live in Watson, LA, just north of Denham Springs. I don't have a gallery on pbase yet, but I hope to have one soon. I just bought a Panasonic FZ-20 and have not had time to try it out.

Ronnie, I live in Destrehan. Thanks for the comment on my pics. I haven't been to Lake Martin. It looks like a beautiful place. I'll have go there. I have a D-70 with the kit lens, 70-200 vr and a 70-300 apo Sigma. Next time you visit B&T, maybe we can talk. Once again you take great pictures.

Thanks for your comments. Just curious where do you live? I presently live in Prairieville but was born and raised in Destrehan. Mover here about 7 years ago. I really enjoyed your images. Always happy to see local photographers as there seems not to be many of us. Looking at your images from the the swamps and marshes make me sorry that I sold my boat when I moved to Prairieville. Getting out in the boat gives you allot of photographic opportunities not possible from land. Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself.

PS: Have you ever been to Lake Martin in Breaux Bridge, just southeast of Lafayette?
