August 2008

Richard Adams and Ron Metcalfe hiked Mt. LeConte on Sunday, August 10, 2008. We ascended the 8-mile Boulevard Trail (2.7 miles on the AT, then 5.3 miles on Boulevard) to LeConte Lodge. Richard descended via Trillium Gap. Ron descended via Alum Cave Bluff. Total hike time up the Boulevard was 4 hours, 30 minutes. It was mostly sunny early, with a few clouds around the summit of LeConte. The temperature was 60° at the lodge.
