A huge amphitheater carved out of the sandstone Canyon wall by the Colorado River. Major John Wesley Powell, a one-armed Civil War hero and the first person to boat through the Grand Canyon(1869), thought this cavern could hold 50,000 people. It's at mile 33 from Lee's Ferry.
