Wet Utah Snow




Pioneer Park Pond, Brigham City, Utah





Wet Snow is the closest thing we get that even begins to look like ice.
Our climate just does not yield ice storms, so it's necessary to find the wet snow clinging to everything before the sun's heat makes everything drop to the ground.

All of these photos are within four blocks of my home...
just a little walk in the fresh snow.

The blue sky in all these photos has not been enhanced or saturated, nor have I used a polarizing filter...
I guess it's our 4200 foot altitude (1280 meters) that brings out the beautiful tones.

thanks for your kind comments, love this gallery , it evokes Christmas time , we are excited this year , our daughter and son in law plus 2 grandchildren have just arrived from DC, Our youngest son will leave you from SLC ( Tooele ) were he works as a race driver/instructor for Larry H Miller at the track , so we have them all back for a few days !!!!! , any way have a very special Christmas, and may God bless you and your family in all that you are in need of and may you have health and happiness in 09, talk soon ..and keep clicking !!

These are what I envision with the name "Utah" Enough Moab and Arches. You have a fine sense of what is a picture and how to frame it, Color and lighting show a man for all seasons. Really enjoy them in a spiritual way. Makes me want to move,
