Mesquite Nevada Desert

Desert 25 miles south of Mesquite, Nevada. The 'rainbow' effect in
some of the cloud shots is a natural effect, not a lens defect. I don't
know what causes the diffraction rainbow effects in such hot/dry climate
as this desert. Normally I've seen this only in the winter producing
bands around the sun.
