It's funny that we overlook so many things in our daily routines. I drive this route to and from work each day, Monday through Friday. Today I look over and see this! I remember the construction, I remember that there used to be a Pizza Hut there, great lunch buffet. I knew that Pizza Hut closed and that there was a lot of "stuff" going on with the building. I don't remember seeing it removed and vaguely remember seeing block walls going up here. So, today not only do I notice everything, but I realize that an Autozone is going in, and SOON will open. What is not in the photo is an Advance Auto about 150 yards south of this building on the same road. I sometimes wonder (I've never researched it) if these two are owned by the same folks. I know that in my hometown there are two of these directly across the road from each other.....

I also prefer AutoZone because of their military discount.

It's another advantage of PADing. We otherwise go through life often not seeing what's in front of our eyes. I saw a building that I shot for a PAD a couple of years ago and it was only because I took that shot that I noticed that it was now a different colour. Mind you I got home the other day and thought "something looks different here..." until I realised that someone had chopped down a neighbouring tree. The shot above is exactly the type of one that helps you to keep a "visual diary" of life around you.

They are not, sep companies. I have a friend in the management at Auto Zone- they are BOOMING. Bad economy pushed longer ownership of older cars, more parts, more $.... they are ROLLING in profit. Personally, I like AutoZone....
