Good old days...I belonged to the period 1970 - 1975. I still remember my wonderful teachers who had impacted my life Ms Molly Chan, Mrs Thumboo, Mrs P. Siva, Mr. Ganesan, Mrs F.J. Paul and Mr. Seah etc.

The visit by Princess Anne was a day of excitement, and the school sports day. Simply unforgettable.

Yup I bet I'm the only one and only with this unique name in the history of SCPS... Hehehe... Btw what a Jem it was to come across this site after 24 yrs to revisit with fond memories... As I'm typing this, all the flashback starts to kick in... with laughter... every single memories embedded in me will forever be treasured as such nothing comparable to the time I spent studying after leaving SCPS... Teachers will be fondly remembered... sad to here some have already passed on... Last and not least hope that the spirit and legacy be remembered till eternity... Best wishes....

I am a student of SCPS from '86 to '91. Just wondering if you're in contact with any Swiss Cotteagians from the class of '91? Btw, my name is Xu Jin Shun (Chinese students were called by their "Han Yu Pin Yin" names) or Khaw Chin Soon. I remember we had a set of malay twins (one guy and one girl). Can't remember their names though. Was in the football team that went to the semi-finals of the national primary school tournament in 1991. Our coach was Mr. Tan. Was in the badminton (Coach was Ms Shanti) and basketball team (Mr. Goh) as well. Also remembered we have a chinese teacher we all affectionately call "Kan Tieh" or Godfather in mandarin. If anyone wanna touch base, i am the only Khaw Chin Soon on facebook. :) THANKS EVAN FOR SETTING UP SITE!

Hi all!! I was in SCPS from 1982 - 1985... I stll remember my blue & White school uniform. The lush green school field, the canteen with an assembly area in front of the tuck shop. I can vaguely recall the dentist clinic on the ground floor of the school....in fact I was planning to visit Singpore now after so many years....wanted to show my son the old school....but sadly it seems that it has close down,,,

Oh my god , I am glad that there are Swiss cottagian exist . I happen see this site I am from yr86 to 91. So sad that the school has to close down. There no is no other school that has a old fashioned school building during rising new school buildings. Interesting canteen which finally shifted to new one in yr 91. During my time the was school breakthroughs , big school field with lush greenery right at back and bit scary too. Camping were fun and freaky . I miss the school. Now where to send my daughters. To enrol they ask any alumni so phases for P1 reg.

i thought scps has disappeared into oblivion. what a pleasant surprise to find this website. i'm from the 1976-1981 batch. can't recall which class i was in but i recall my best friends: lawrence low (who's aunty has a horn on her head?!?), goh hoh chee (ho-ho-ho-ho-horlicks), thomas tan (the oz ang moh kid i wait with every day after class for our dads to pick us up), and my secret sweetheart shirley tan from msia. they call me chin huat back then.

where are they now, i wonder. life is just like a dream.

Wow, this brings back old memories. I stumbled on this page purely by chance wonder if my old school buildings still existed. I was a student from 1978 to 1984. I was in class 6A in my final year. Unfortunately I have lost touch with my friends from back then. I recognise some of the teachers, Mr Lim, Mrs Fong, Ms Goh. I live in the the UK now but come back to Singapore once a year. Do the old buildings still stand? I would like to go back to take some pictures if I am still able to.

Hello all...I would never have thought there was an SCPS alumni! All these years I thought the school has closed shop for good. Anyway I am from 1972-1977 ha ha ha must be one of the oldest around! My family left Singapore on May 1983 and we are back here in the Philippines..I was in 6E in 1982. 1985-1991.. This school have left a fond memories during my years there..Thanks to Mrs Goh who being such a ''fierce and stern' teacher..it helps to move on to a better place..cikgu zaleha and ros puteh, i'll never forget you.ms siti, ms nahidah and mrs chua..wish we cud have a reunion in that school again..not sure if we can do that..the school looks empty..

Hi - thanks for the rekindling of old memories with your picture gallery (SmugMug etc.) I was there from 1979-1985, and was taught by Mr. Lee Hong Leong who taught my sister 4 years before me. Anyone know how to contact him? He's in a photograph from the Alumni Inaugural Dinner - in case you don't remember - he's the fantastic teacher with a rather radical style of delivery (i.e. we'd have to climb downstairs to retrieve the exercise books he'd have thrown out of the third floor classroom window). Please provide a contact email or address if anyone knows anything. Thanks!

Its nice to read to the comments made from you guys (& glad dat dis website exist)... made me flashback to the old days in SCPS. My years in Swiss Cottage (85-92) had left great memories inside me. My big thanks to all my Form teachers who had taught me & I miz you all...(Mrs Rama (1B yr '85, 2C Mrs Chua '86, 3C Mrs Teo '87, 4E1 Miss Shanta '88, 5E1 Miss Nahidah '89, 6E1 Mrs Boey '90 & 7E1 & 8E1 Mrs Wong '91). Not forgettin to my Malay teachers, Cikgu Zubaidah, Cikgu Saodah, Cikgu Zaleha, Cikgu Sidek & Cikgu Ros Puteh. Actually, my batch still kip in touch (appreciate dat guys!!!). Hope to attend next SCPS gathering & this time ard, hopefully I will not miz it. Take care fellow swiss cottagians...Rajin & Jujur...(Still remember Mrs Molly Chan's sentence during the morning assembly; I am my own MASTER!)

Nice to see the spirit of SCPS lives on! I was there from 1978-83. Anyway, memories of Swiss Cottage came rushing back when I ran into former Principal Ratnagopal a few weeks ago at a supermarket. I remember very well the green Volvo he was driving at the time. While he looked frail, he must be in his late 70s or 80s, he looked very determined and he had no helper or minders with him. I went up to him and told him I was a student at Swiss while he was principal, his eyes brightened, he shook my hand and said well done! Wow guys, this brings back all the history of SCPS. Eventually all my siblings n me are from SCPS. This is the best way to remember our old school SCPS. Time past so fast since i leave SCPS in 1990 & 18yrs has past. I still can remember all faces not names except mr lee bcos he is 1 of the fierce face in SCPS. Nice to see all this pics of the teachers n student from past n present till the school shutdown it's door for good. I still keep my soccer trophy that we won for the inter school tournament that we got 3rd in 89 & 90. Miss the old days in SCPS.

I have no idea of this forum existence until now. My name is Matthew, but my teachers and friends would have known me by my chinese name, Huang Huaizhi. I finished SCPS in 1988. My teacher in my final year was Mr Chua, from the pictures, I remember Mrs Leong and a few other teacher's faces whom I cant put a name too (getting old). SCPS is no longer along Dunearn Road. In fact, it no longer exists. The school merged with Moulmein Primary School in 2002 to form Balestier Hill Primary School which is located near the junction of Balestier Road and Thomson Road.
