Hi, I was in Iwakuni, 10 years old at this time. I played Little League and competed with the local Japanese teams...had the time of my life. We went on from there to Chin hae Korea for 2 years before returning to the US. I had a great friend, Marine, by the name of on Turgeon. Been trying to find him, he is from New Hampshire. He did a lot for the kids there at the time, a real straight shooter. Anyone know him, or where he is?

My dad, Major Charles R. Coxe, was stationed in Iwakuni 1966-1967. I was only about 12 then, but still have my scrapbook of memories from my time there. I came across your photos and they brought back wonderful memories. Besides my parents and me, our family also consisted of my little brother and sister. We lived off-base in a beautiful little Japanese house and had a Mamma-san to take care of us. I can still remember a few Japanese words that our tutor taught me. What a wonderful experience for a kid! Thanks!

Wow! Do these pics bring back the memories of our time there or what? It's almost like reliving the experience. You did a fine job at capturing the scenery, old buddy. It was a beautiful place, especially at "blossom time." I'll never for get that! Thanks for "bringing it all home" to me, again, Rog. I'll treasure these because, somehow, I only got home with 4 or 5 pics.
