1997: August, Grand Canyon

Felipe and I drove from San Francisco for a long weekend to Las Vegas and to the Grand Canyon...

One of the most impressive things is to arrive in Vegas in the middle of the night, as we did (probably at 1am)... all that light in the middle of the desert... But, unfortunately there are no pics from Vegas.

We continued on the next day to the Grand Canyon. This is another amasing place. When you look down that canyon it looks like a picture... it's so huge and so quiet at the same time.

We were lucky and we got 2 beds in the lodge at the base of the canyon for one night!!! Great: we could hike down! And we did. Check the temperature on the picture when we got down the canyon... On the following day we walked up!
