I decided to go to a Kibbutz and work as a volunteers, after hearing so many good things about it, speciall from my ex-girlfriend Graziela.

It was a great experience. Hard in the beginning... I was asking myself how I could be working for free like this. But after a few weeks life starts to get comfortable. The volunteers were from all over. Argentinians (who visited me in Brazil a few years later), Venezuelan (Juan), many from the Scandinavian countries, from Holland, from everywhere.

I loved the Friday afternoon cheese cake from Pidu, the old lady who got around the kibbutz on her bike, although she was almost 80.

Our afternoons were filled with a few visits to Hadera (the closest town), and picking fruits inside the kibbutz... also writting letters, playing basket ball, etc.

I worked as a gardner. I had to wake up really early, but the work was great. I got to drive the small tractor around, which was fun.

It's just too much to write about this 1 month experience... the bunkers of the kibbutz; Ricardo telling me about the tatoos of the older people from the time of the concentration camps, etc. etc. etc.

This was a life experience!
