This gallery is a tribute to my best friend and loyal companion, Murphy. Murphy is a pure breed Yellow Labrador Retriever and was born April 6, 2002. He is an unusually tall lab and weighs in around 95lbs.

Murphy is crazy about water! No matter where we are, if there is even the slightest puddle of water, he is in it. Pools, oceans, lakes, rivers, creeks, sprinklers, ponds, puddles, you name it, he plays in it. His most amazing accomplishment to date is the ability to dive about six feet underwater to retrieve his toys. It took us a while to get him to start going underwater, but once he learned how to do it, he became a fish. He holds his breath for a good 15 seconds and keeps his eyes open the entire time while hunting his toys. Thankfully we have a large in-ground swimming pool in our backyard that allows Murphy to swim for hours a day. It's incredible exercise that keeps him trim and very muscular. After a long day in the pool he even enjoys a quick soak in the hot tub.
