Nestled within the financial district of downtown Vancouver lies this beautiful marina. Vancouver has a large number of distinct communities that are in part defined by the bodies of water that make up some of their borders. Coal Harbour is that waterfront area that connects the downtown core to Stanley Park to the West. It is home to many pleasure craft berthed in several marinas with more to come as development continues. The public areas from downtown to Stanley Park are in effect one long promenade which is connected to the Stanley Park Seawall which then continues to and around False Creek, a total approximately 20 kilometers of shoreline public access.
Each time I am in Vancouver, I find myself coming back to this place. it's serene.
