This impressive home was built by John Pliny Crysler between 1846-1848, on a riverfront property purchased from his uncle, Geronimus Crysler. The house stood on the King's Highway east of Morrisburg, Dundas County. John Pliny Crysler was the son of Col. John Crysler, on whose nearby farm the 1813 battle took place.
