The Sand Barge near the brink of the Horseshoe Falls

The sand barge (scow) although rusting and disintegrating with age, still remains in the same location where it became stuck August 6th 1918. http://www.niagarafrontier.com/scow.html It is located just south of the Toronto Power House (which was closed in 1974) close to the Canadian shoreline.

The barge shifted for the first time in 101 years on Oct. 31/Nov. 1, 2019. It is now closer to the brink of the falls. The exact amount it shifted is not known at this time. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/hamilton/iron-scow-horseshoe-falls-1.5344845?__vfz=medium%3Dsharebar&fbclid=IwAR2TsNbcYjxd9GySP29mbJ4XRcXvPffZIGMIiRZU4mk0GsPxItAG0K5i1pI
