Scientific name: Chalcophaps indica (Linnaeus, 1758).
Emerald doves have a wide distribution which extends from India through SE Asia to the Phillipines, New Guinea and Vanuatu. In Australia it is found across the top end and from
Cape York Peninsula southward to about the Victorian border.
