Scientific Name: Urocolius macrourus macrourus (Linnaeus, 1766)
Urocolius is a small genus of mousebirds. It consists of two species (Urocolius macrourus and Urocolius indicus) which inhabit Eastern and Southern Africa.
The Blue-naped Mousebird feeds mainly on fruit but supplements this diet with leaves, flowers and buds.
