1986 home built.jpg

I made the body for this in 1986. It was carved from a solid piece of Hoduran mahogany. The electronics are hand wired with Seymour Duncan Pickups, Kahler tremolo, and an Ibanez neck. The body style looks a little weird to me now, but it was the '80's! I finished it in November 1986, and it was stolen (along with my 1962 ES330) in January of 1987, yeah, that sucks. If you see or have some form of legitimate possession of this guitar, please contact me. the headstock used to say "Robert James Custom" (my first and middle name).

I'm sorry for your loss. Personally, I feel that the theft of someone's instrument is one of the worst things someone can do to another person. All of the instruments I had owned were because they meant something to me when I bought them. They became a part of me. When someone stole all of them but my number one, I felt like my soul was ripped from my body. They were never recovered and even though they were insured and I could have replaced them. I could not REPLACE THEM. That has been very a very traumatic experience but I cannot imagine how you must have felt when something you created with your own hands was taken by someone who obviously has no respect for musicians, in your case, artist. Again, you have my deepest sympathies.
