On Monday, July 23, 2007, Matt Stewart (Cathy's brother) was able to visit with his childhood friend, Sheryl Thoma, at her home on the prairie lands near the front range of the Rocky Mountains a few miles North of Ft. Collins, Colorado. With the collusion of Sheryl's parents, Dave and Pat Thoma, Matt's visit was a big surprise to Sheryl. Although they stay in phone contact, Matt and Sheryl hadn't seen each other since 1994, when the Thoma's moved from St. Louis to Colorado. Matt, his mother, Tina, along with Cathy, Josh, Elizabeth and I were served an excellent summer meal during our brief visit. There was even a birthday cake for both Matt and Sheryl. Rarely can such warm and true hospitality be found as flowed freely from the Thoma's. We were very honored and enjoyed the visit.
