Bradd raced the car a few times but has not yet dynoed the car. His estimate is in the 320WHP range, which should be fairly accurate at the 20 psi boost level. Bradd has found his new niche to be autocrossing the car. His plan this coming summer('14) is to autocross the car monthly and take it down the track a few more times. He has a list of mods he would like to do to the car in the near future. Here is his list:
Rebuild a short block and replace the current tired one (90psi avg compression and 30% leak)
Cometic MLS Head Gasket
1000cc Fuel Injectors
Boost Button Flashable Computer and cord
Tune for E85 (425 WHP is the power goal that he is will be tuning for)
OBX LSD for A523
Relocate the A-Pillar gauges to the cluster.
Replace the front struts and add front strut bar
Polish the wheels and some engine parts.
Good luck to Bradd on getting his very rare Black R/T done the way he wants it!
Here is the original story on the car from Johnny Mopar that owned it before Daytonaman...
Jon is from Caro, Mi. area. Here is Jon's story on his Iroc R/T:
After about a year and a half of waiting to find the right one for a good price I finally found it. 1992 Iroc R/T Daytona with 95k on the clock. Drove 812 miles round trip too look at it put a down payment on it. Then I drove back 3 months later "another 812 miles round trip" And payed it off for a total of $4800 and picked it up.
