This Hebrew inscription on a rock was a fantastic discovery. Two lines of writing are etched into the side of a steep rock, but God knows what it says there. There were also some (looted) burial places around the area, with lots of pottery shards and human bones to be found. The canyon, close to Tengi Azau village, is about a 30 minutes drive from Shahrak town. I later read that some Jewish tribes expelled from Persia in the 11th century may have briefly settled in the area.
