El-Fasher

El-Fasher is the capital of North Darfur, and planned base for the UN peacekeepers (should they ever arrive). One of the nicer cities in Sudan, because of its pleasant atmosphere. Apart from several local markets, there's the old Sultan's palace, now a museum, to be visited.

GECKO.I WAS HERE 2007/2008 AND AGAIN 2013/2014.REALLY EL FASHER HAS CHANGED AND ITS GROWING VERY FIRST WITH THE PRESENCE OF UNAMID AND THE ENDLESS SUPPORT THEY ARE OFFERING TIRELESSLY,WE DO HOPE THAT SOMEDAY ,PEACE AND SECURITY WILL PREVAIL .

Please don't believe what was said about Etienne Grantham, as the woman who wrote it is mad!!!! He is a normal person that loves his family.

Etienne Grantham, a member of the royal blue blood of Grantham, a bloodline crossing my linage, I have one thing to say, that this is not where a royal person should be, but for the money and the income of being poor it is worth it to work for a short period, but no further than that. As family I say that the UN made a contribution but not for what that is worth, for centuries the nations in africa was in turmoil, why try to change that now. The history of Cleopatra and all the Sotars a 1000 years before Christ ruled africa and this fight comes from before that time. In order to remain the same, it become part of their genetic to be in turmoil and destruction. No nation nor the UN can solve that problem untill such nations of africa become destinct.

ya this is Elfasher our green city , even if others do not believe, by the way my house is in the mid of this town , Elfasher is charming, quiet, pleasant and its residents are friendly, life there is smooth despite the killing war. God bless every one who lives there and every one tries to help my people.

i was there in 2008-2009 as formed police unit ,u can ask the idps they know us so much they like us so much also ,almost everyday we patrol to abu shock and al salam idp cam
