The feather and fan shawl wasn't hard, just endless. And very big by the time I got to the end. Putting the edging on was a revelation. I didn't really know how big it was because it was on a 34" circ until I bound it off with the edging. It belongs to my daughter, she's very fond of it.

Your knitting is beautiful! I love each and every piece but I have to say that my favorite is the feather and fan shawl. It is gorgeous! I would love, love, love to attempt something like that.
BTW....where in WNY are you? I am in Depew (outside of Buffalo.....). And yes, I know what you mean about our lovely weather!

Got here from knitlist.( Loved your post, it was very informative- the stuff about fairisle. I'm gonna buy that Philosopher's Wool book you mentioned.) Had to come and look at your pics. Finally, someone who actually has a reason to brag. I can't tell you how exhausting it is to scroll through posts all the time with people asking stupid questions like, " I have such and such yarn for socks and i need to know what size needles to use and how many to cast on." (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) I take that back, it's not a stupid question if you don't know the answer, but you know what i mean, right? :) P.S. Is that rock and roll girl your daughter? She's so cool. LOVE her hair. I look forward to more of your posts and pictures!
