These picture are from various places in India, as I don't have enough to make separate galleries from each place. Most of these pics are basically snapshots, as I'm - to put it mildly - not really impressed with venturing out in India.
It's a place I would love to photograph more, but the hassle of India is just to great for it.
I agree with your sentiments regarding photographing some parts of India at the present. However, I'm fairly convinced that the world's picture of India is chronically limited to bullock carts, simply because photographers focus on that ubiquitous reality and ignore the development all around it. India is rapidly changing and developing (as I think your "Hopes and Dreams" photo begins to cover). I'd think about taking a trip back to see the metros sometime soon. New limited-access highway networks of motorway/interstate design are opening all across the country. Hyderabad and Bangalore have just opened world-class greenfield airports. Delhi's new airport terminals will be open 2010, in time for the Commonwealth Games Delhi, along with numerous other transit and infrastructure projects both in the capital and the other metros. These projects are just the core underneath India's continued economic growth at all levels. Just one last comment, next time, now that you've seen the Taj Mahal, skip Agra. That city still needs some time to get its act together. :-) Otherwise, great photography in all of your albums.
