North Circumpolar Star Trails

Lake Hemet, California USA

Fighting light polution is an ever increasing battle everywhere. This photo is a composition of 25 x 25 second exposures looking north from Lake Hemet, California. Directly beneath Polaris on the horizon is Mt. San Jacinto. The light pollution on the left is the Riverside/San Bernadino/Los Angeles Metropolitan area. On the right is Palm Springs/Palm Desert/Indio. The aircraft traffic on top is outbound from the LA area, the traffic on the bottom is inbound. Still and interesting and fun time being out under the stars.
