Suzhou is a city on the lower reaches of the Yangtze River and on the shores of Lake Taihu in the province of Jiangsu. The city is renowned for its beautiful stone bridges, pagodas, and meticulously designed gardens, which has become a great tourist attraction. Suzhou has also been an important centre for China's silk industry since the Song Dynasty (960-1279), and continues to hold that prominent position today. It is part of the Yangtze River Delta region.

Luzhi Town, Located about 25 kilometers east of Suzhou. Luzhi is an old but extremely beautiful water town. It has a a history of more than 1400 years. The town's most notable features are its numerous quaint stone bridges, which were built in the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. At one time, there were 72 bridges in the tiny town; 41 still exist and are well preserved. All of the bridges are different in design and style. Covering just one square kilometer, it has been awarded the great name of 'the first water town in China'
