At 15.19hrs on 17 July 2006 a 7.7 magnitude undersea earthquake created a tsunami which hit a 177km stretch of coastline on the south coast of Java. The epicenter was about 180 km off the coast of Pangandaran. Wendy travelled from the UK to Pangandaran to see her family and to try to offer some help.
