Preparing for the bouquet toss.The bouquet toss is a time honored tradition at Canadian weddings.The bride turns facing away from the gathering of single ladies and then throws the bouquet over her shoulder towards the crowd of frenzied women.Tradition has it that the one to catch the bouquet of flowers is to be the next to wed....and if she doesn't do so in the coming year....they burn her at the stake....or something like that.
