In the Canary Islands, on the island of Lanzarote, you will find a lot of volcanos from the eruption of 1760 - 1767. Many are in Timanfaya Park. These photos are of the "Vulcan Calder Blanca", a volcano just north of the park. I parked and hiked across a lava field (some of the roughest hiking ever, due to the rough lava rocks) and then up the volcano and around the rim. The diameter of the volcano at the rim is about 1.2 Kms.
