As the weather started improving the diving conditions also started to get very nice. Unfortunately, about this time Susie caught a bug. She seemed out of it on the dives one day and that night had a 102 degree fever. The next day we requested doing a couple close and easy dive sites. Sam's was accommodating and took us out on our own boat for the JAKE sea plane dive site and Chandelier Cave while the other divers did the long boat ride to the "outside." The next day Susie rested while Rick did the muck dives at Sam's dock. The following day Susie was feeling a little better, but not up for any long boat rides, so Susie and Rick did the easy muck dives at Sams dock. Palau's most famous dive site is Blue Corner and in August boats don't often go to Blue Corner due to conditions. The last couple days the boats were hitting the Blue Corner site, but we didn't mind too much as we were having fun playing in the muck. After our last muck dive we kayaked the next day, then it was off to Yap.
