Hello,

My name is Maralyne and I am an intern with Sierra Club Canada. Sierra club is a non-profit environmental organization. We are currently seeking photographs of endangered species to include in a book that would be used as a part of a fundraising and awareness building campaign. Would you be willing to donate a picture of the nodding pegonia for use in our book. Full credit will be given to you as the photographer. The aim of this fundraising opportunity is also to encourage the public to be more aware of the wide variety of species that may be lost in the future.
Sierra Club Canada has been active in Canada since 1963, originally as chapters of the U.S.-based Sierra Club. Our national office opened in 1989, and in 1992 we incorporated to create a truly national presence. Today, we have five chapters across the country: British Columbia Chapter, Prairie Chapter, Ontario Chapter, Quebec Chapter and Atlantic Canada Chapter - in addition to our dozens of local groups in communities all across Canada from Cape Breton to Vancouver Island. The Sierra Youth Coalition is our youth affiliate. Sierra Club Canada is the agent of Sierra Club Canada Foundation, a registered charitable organization with the Canada Revenue Agency.
Sierra Club Canada has earned an excellent reputation within its constituency and the broader public for its thoroughly researched positions and for refusing to compromise on its ideals. Sierra Club Canada believes in the power of connection, of people everywhere working together to create a better world for all.

Thank you for your time and consideration,

Maralyne Narayan

Enjoyed the beautiful images, orchard, Fall in the mountains, butterflies, etc. Not too far from you, our land ajoins the Foothills Parkway, at Walland. See "Gourley Garden" where I do most of my photography. My habitat for the tropical lizards Anolis Carolinensis, and the garden of my design in the Smokies

Love your pix Tom. Sure miss not getting to hear from you. I still take pix but only thing I do with them is make me some greeting cards. Mine aren't good enough to sell. But it is fun taking them anyway. Keep up the great work.

Tom, for somebody who grew up in western PA your photograhs were truly beautiful. I never realized how much alike the states of the Appalachin Trail are. Your fall
and winter images are truly lovely. You certainly have a special gift. Thank you for
sharing.

There was a special on TV about the Appalachian Mountains, and I thought about your galleries. I usually tell Jim about the galleries I viewed. He used to work at the
Blackberry Farm Hotel and Company when he was layed off from the plant. He talked to the guests about the mountains and plants some.

I really enjoy your images Thomas. It appears that we have walked some of the same paths. Perhaps we will happen upon each other some day in the Glades or along the Cranberry. As you travel down the long hill toward the Cranberry, it is always like I'm coming home.

Hi Thomas, it was really nice seeing your images. I grew up near charleston WV and have been looking for some WV pics on here for a while. Great shots. Really makes me remember how beautiful it is there.

This is bob buck ( your brothers neighbor) I was e-mailing stan bentley the author of that orchid book and mentioned about the green frog orchid you had found, there are no records of it in nicholas county so far and he was interested, if its up yet and you have a photo he would like an e-mail of it. his e-mail is samorchids@verizon.net. have been finding ladies slippers, showy orchis, putty root and padleaf so far, I will be in baltimore all week for erin's surgery hope to run into you when we get back, I would really like to see the green frog sometime.

Photographs are stunning! Have been here in CA for ten years, but have seen nothing as beautiful as some of those places in WV. I know because that was my home for several years. I still long to see the trees turn all of those wonderful colors in the fall. I can't wait to see additional galleries. Carrolyn Barber.
