Painting by Droplets

Rannoch Moor / Glen Coe, Scotland

I am very lucky ths morning to come away with this dawn image for a number of reasons: Drinking in a bar until 1am the night before. Not getting up an hour before sunrise, but sleeping in another hour and rushing down to the pre-'reccied' loaction *at* sunrise. Running through a peat bog with an open bag resulting in the camera falling out (luckily into a nice bouncy clump of heather). Rushing to get set up. Rain spots hitting the Grad ND filters constantly.

A 2 stop Graduated Neutral density filter is used to hold back the sky, and a 3 stop ND filter to allow a long exposure to blur the water. No post processing except a few dust spots removed.

Its a great photo Rich, not least for the trials and tribulations you went through to get it!
