this had come out too dark and blue, but looks ok when turned b&w and tweaked!

it had started snowing late afternoon. first time i'd seen snow fall (besides skiing) in a about 5 years! we were hoping that it would be a horrendous snowstorm and that my flight would get cancelled. but that was not to be. oh well.

we went out this afternoon and got salmon, octopus, salmon roe, flying fish roe, eel, avocado, and sushi rice. galina made this wonderful spinach salad with this incredible soy-sesame dressing. she guessed at the recipe and did an marvelous job at it! i made the sushi and maki. it was great fun. and everything turned out excellent.

another difficult parting. thanks so much for the ride to the airport, G!

this happened in san carlos. bummer but not a huge deal. nothing inside was taken, amazingly. it was just the rear quater glass, which i replaced the next day. oh well.
