This is actually 2 images combined. The sky was shot at 1/200 of a second and the lit forground at about 5 minutes....! Its called painting with light and need a lot of patience. You take the sunset shot and then cant move your camera until it is totally dark. Then you take the foreground shot - its lit by me with a flash gun running around the graveyard for 5 minutes. It has to be well planned and ideally you need someone to help (to put a black card in front of the lens as you run around). Its a very long process - over a 3.5 hour shoot you normally end up with one shot. Then its back to Photoshop to join the 2 exposures up. Its probably easier on slide or film but as i was challenged to do it I had to try...! Not sure whether I prefer Black and White or Colour version so I posted the 2 of them...!
