Trip around the Dordogne region of France, where my grand parents lived for many years. Includes the towns of Ste Foy (the nearest town to my grandparents), Bergerac, the wine centre of St Emilion and the medieval towns of Castillion and Le Bugue. Also visits to the troglodyte sites of Les Eyzies (where there is a great museum about the region's prehistoric history) and La Roque St Christophe. We also visited the famous painted caves at Lascaux, but unfortunately couldn't photograph anything there. Final photos are from the old valley-side town of Rocamadour, famous for its cheeses. |
