Lots of wood around, so been trying to turn some of it while it's still fresh. A variation on yesterday's picture, trying to give more of a sense of scale.

The plate is warping almost before my eyes - one of the hazards of turning wet wood. Maybe it will add to its character...

Must remember to check iso! This was shot with an AB800 in minimum power and a shoot-through umbrella. I should have realized ISO was wrong when I had to stop down so much!
