In February 2000 the Kruger National Park suffered its worst flood, causing widespread devestation. This was part of the cyclone which hit South Africa and Mozambique. Parts will take years to fully recover.
We were there from the middle of February for nearly 3 weeks; we could not visit the south which had already been badly hit,but saw the full force of nature along the Olifants, Letaba and Shingwedzi rivers. The Luvuvhu was so bad we could not get anywhere near it!
The photos were all taken from a 'still' facility on a Sony Camcorder; the quality is not the best! Many of the rivers will have current views else where on this site.
