Dear Mr. Allen, Am not sure whether my first message went through. I'm writing to request your permission to use one or two of your plant images for a short article I'm writing on Maximilian sunflower (Helianthus maximiliani) for our Department magazine - the South Dakota Conservation Digest. It's an educational, non-profit publication with a circulation of about 10,000 mostly here in SD, and I write a series called Dakota Flora featuring some plant species or genus in each issue. This would be a one-time use and you would be credited in the photo caption.
