Cardinal Flower

Springdale Farm, Oakdale Twp., Noble Co., Okla.

So named because of its deep red color, the Cardinal Flower (Lobelia cardinalis) is a member of the Bluebell family. Occasionally found with pink and white flowers, it's becoming an increasingly popular choice for planting in flower gardens.
