In over four decades of amateur photography I've used numerous cameras, some excellent and some unremarkable. It started with an Argus 75 received for Christmas as a teenager. Then in the 1960's, before going to England on military assignment, I bought my first 35-mm camera, a Montgomery Ward AM450 rangefinder. Made by Konica, it was a first-rate camera. My long association with Pentax cameras began in 1974 with the purchase of a Honeywell Spotmatic SP500. The most used of all of my cameras was a Pentax KX. Taking thousands of photos, it never once failed me in 25 years of use. Although I primarily use a digital camera now, I still enjoy taking pictures with my 35mm film cameras. I don't know why? Maybe it's the look and feel of the satin chrome and imitation leather camera body. Or the thrill of hearing a mechanical shutter again. There's an intimacy one has with the older film cameras that cannot be experienced with today's digital equivalents. It's unfortunate the photographers of the future may never know that sensation. I sincerely hope you enjoy looking at some of the cameras I've used or collected through the years. (The dates in parenthesis indicate years produced.)

Richard, you have an amazing gallery here that apart the other brands you have collected the whole Pentax history !!! I'm very fond of Pentax too,my first camera was a K1000 and later a ME super.I've turned to Contax after 2000. (I've considered autofocus a great novelty and never adopted it ! LOL ).
V !!!
I also owned one of those Sears-Pentax cameras (forgot all about that!) as well as a K1000. I'm considering adding either a K10D or Nikon D40 to supplement my Konica-Minolta A2. Your thoughts?
