Ian,
Was just trying a few things out. This is shot in real late afternoon light and the area
where the feeder is, is in total dark shade but the back ground is in very strong setting sunlight. Like I said its fun trying out new things and in this case wanted alot of DOF on the bird. Also testing the flash ratios on the Canon 550EX. Please realize that most of this equipment is still rather new to me and I'min the process of learning alot of material. Constantly have the manuals at hand for reference.

Why shot at 1600 and f16 when you could shoot with f8 or less and not have a noise issue?
